Cephas is no stranger to CHH. Even if you haven’t heard his name yet chances are you’ve heard some of his production. Getting his start as a producer/dj his jazzy soulful arrangements garnished the attention of CHH’s lyrical elite including: Eshon Burgundy, Datin, Bizzle, Selah the Corner, Bumps INF, Beleaf of the Dream Junkies, D-Maub, Yaves Ellis, K-Drama, among countless others.

In 2019 Cephas felt urged to step out from behind the production boards and begin writing, rapping & singing. Thus the We Will Go Mixtape was born. Released on Menace Movement in mid 2020 the project received critical acclaim from Rapzilla as one of the “must hear” projects of the year. The project features long time friends & collaborators Datin, J.Carter, Bumps INF, StefanOtto, & Jonathan Baker. It also features a mixture of production from both Cephas as well as from legends Damu The Fudgemunk, Quickly Quickly, Pete Rock, AK420, & Madlib.

Ultimately, Cephas desires to use his gifts in music & art to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost. An evangelist at heart he preaches a clear call for salvation at every show. It’s estimated that thousands have heard the gospel through his live events throughout the last decade.

His debut full length LP America Shall Be Saved drops Oct 2021 on Menace Movement. The eleven song album features many OG’s and legends in the CHH game to the likes of Eshon Burgundy, J. Carter, D-Maub, & Yaves Ellis. The album is self produced by Cephas and was co-mixed & mastered by Joe Nardone who’s previous work includes Kanye West, J-Dilla, & Talib Kweli.
