DAX HAMMA

who is daX

Dax Hamma, producer and engineer for Menace Movement was born and raised in Queens, New York. From an early age, Dax was influenced by Hip Hop music.

He began writing his first song at age 12, and producing his first beat not long after. He started off on a small 49 key Casio keyboard, recording melodies onto a cassette recorder.

As he continued learning and growing, he upgraded his gear and learned how to sample using a Roland MV8000. As Dax was having success in the secular realm, producing records for TV and landing a song on radio, he knew this wasn’t the path God had for him.

Being saved and radically converted at age 23, Dax knew the music he was involved in did not glorify The Lord, so he turned his attention to Christian Hip Hop.

After 10 years of making music that honored Jesus, Datin reached out to Dax via Instagram on a post he made making a beat. Datin’s words were “when are you going to sign to Menace and make our beats”. They both prayed it through, got confirmation, and the rest is history.

If Dax isn’t in front of a beat Maschine, you can find him somewhere hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire, raising twins and spending time with his wife.
